Schools: The Nevada City, Grass Valley and Nevada County school system has been a significant reason for people to purchase real estate in our community for many years. Our small community boasts annual test scores that have regularly placed our educational system among the top 5 in the State of California for many years. And while I personally believe that so much of a child’s success comes to a large degree from what happens at home, it’s comforting to know that here in Nevada City, Grass Valley and Nevada County that our children are guided by some of the most dedicated, professional and successful teachers anywhere in California.

It’s the Arts and Culture, the School System, the amazing climate; and, high on this list is the remarkable Yuba River. Nevada City, Grass Valley and Nevada County is noted for it’s beauty, it’s streams, lakes, creeks and the astonishing scenery that meanders throughout the area as the Yuba River passes through our community down towards Sacramento and on it’s way to the Pacific Ocean. A few years ago a substantial stretch of the Yuba River was designated by Congress as Wild and Scenic, thereby ensuring its pristine environment unchanged into our future. If you ask people why they moved here, the Yuba River ranks high. It is peaceful, healing, dramatic, rugged and simply one of the most significant reasons for purchasing real estate in Nevada City, Grass Valley and Nevada County.
